As you approach, the facade presents a traditional Surrey house with natural clay tiled half-hipped roofs, shaped tile hanging and traditional timber casement windows. At the back the house opens up to the sunny garden with extensive use of glass and a more modern timber garden room.

Inside there is a mixture of traditional spaces and detailing - a formal drawing room, 'his and her' offices, snug and a generous hall with a beautiful traditional winding stair; this leads to an open plan kitchen and garden room open to the eaves and thence to boot room and utility and back hall. Upstairs there are four bedrooms with bathrooms and generous master suite.

An important consideration was the environmental aspect of the house, which is well insulated and solidly built, but features an up to the minute ground source heat pump, which Jaques Construction were instrumental in designing and installing.

The clients found Jaques Construction by word of mouth and decided to negotiate a price without inviting other contractors. Jaques Construction was involved at an early stage to provide budgets and ensure that the clients' preferred start date could be adhered to, thereby reducing the stress and worry of finding a builder in these difficult times.

The client has greatly appreciated the personal touch from inception to completion and the after sales service continues to this day.
