traditional
new build

Following site clearance, including an old tennis court and garage, the structure was built using a mixture of masonry to ensure a good thermal store and insulated timber to create a highly efficient envelope. A ground source heat pump was installed, designed specifically for the plot, to cover heating and hot water. During the first twelve months of habitation, the electrical costs, covering all heating, hot water, power and lighting, including ovens was only £1800.
